I haven’t posted in awhile, but I’m back at things.
I got a couple big orders recently and have been playing! This one is my first card with the Humming Along stamps and framelits.
I just got some Stampin’ Blends and have been playing with those as well. I have more ideas for the hummingbirds and have been playing with so many new things! So many ideas and so much fun! February’s Paper Pumpkin shows up next week, it looks like a fun one I’m excited to see it!
More posts to come!
The Paper is from the Needlepoint Nook cardstock, Petal Pink. I used Balmy Blue ink pad and Blending pens light and dark, Mossy Meadow light and dark and Daffodil Delight for the beak. I love the Lace Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder that goes to the Floral Romance Suite!

Paper Pumpkin. I can’t say enough good things about it. The kit is great for every level of paper crafter. You can give them to kids who’s only supplies are what’s in the kit up to the most experienced paper crafter with all the “gear”.
The flowered paper was a card from the kit. I used one of my thinlits in my Big Shot to cut it out. The cording, Happy Birthday tag, stamps and decorative leaves came from Paper Pumpkin. I used some card stock I had, Tranquil Tide, for the embossed portion in my Big Shot with one of my embossing folders and Whisper White for the card itself. I also had some pearl embellishments to add.

I’m the first one to say it’s too early to even be thinking about Christmas!! Well… unless you’re a crafter and now it the time! I got my Holiday Catalog order and have been working on Christmas cards and tags.
This one was a fun one for me to do because it made me step out of my comfort zone! It took me four attempts, five colors, and nine stamps to create the image.
I find I have trouble getting in the Christmas spirt until Christmas gets here, except when I’m working on something for Christmas. I just might be good and ready for it this year.
This card was created using the Peaceful Noel Suite by Stampin’ Up! You can find all the components here on my Website: lauraking.stampinup.net
I created this card for my Mom for her birthday last month. I had a lot of fun with this one.
I used Fresh Fig ink and Whisper White card stock. Pearl Basic Jewels, Gold Faceted Gems, the Wood Planks Big Short embossing folder, my heat embosser with silver powder and the Happy Birthday stamp from the May 2018 Paper Pumpkin.
I cut the Whisper White to 5 1/2″ X 4″ and folded. Ran the top half through the Big Shot in the embossing folder. Then I cut my Fresh Fig card stock to approx 3 1/2″ and attached with snail adhesive.
Then I cut my whisper white paper just short of the Fresh Fig and stamped and embellished.
I really liked the way it turned out.
I put together this graduation card using the Daisy Delight collection paper, stamps and punch, the Layering Circles Framelits, and the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamps, from Stampin’ Up! While the designer paper has been discontinued the rest of the products are still available with other options for a similar card.
The card it’self is 5 1/2 X 4 1/4. I used Old Olive ink and paper for my green, Daffodil Delight for my yellow and attached my flower with dimentionals.
One of the fun things about the stamps is there is often a stamp that “colors” another stamp.. for example…

I had a lot of fun playing with the Lots of Lavender stamp set. I just made up my design. I did some measuring and cutting of my strips which I attached with snail adhesive. The lavender itself was fun as the stamp set came with stamps that color the image. I attached it with dimensionals. I added a bit of velum I used with a framelet to create the happy birthday tag. I attached one side with a dimensional and attached the other side with snail adhesive. I finished with pearl embellishments. I love the way it turned out!
I had fun playing with my “Beautiful Peacock” Stamps from Stampin’ Up and crated a fun shaker card!
Today was a day of firsts for me in the world of Card Making!
I tried to get into paper crafts more than once and it’s was like Pinterest fail after fail after fail until I just gave up on it. Recently, I got into Stampin’ Up! and became a demonstrator.
My husband always says, in regards to his woodworking, it’s all in the tools. I’m finding that to be just as relevant with paper crafts! I am loving how Stampin’ Up! makes it so easy to figure out how to do these things and sells the tools I need and shows you how to use them! I’m actually starting to look like I know what I’m doing!
Today I got an order from Stampin’ UP! in the mail and in it were a few new things for a few things I wanted to try. First was my Envelope Punch board! Yes I can make envelopes that fit my cards and make them as fancy as I want! The thing that makes this so amazing is how all the measurements are on the board and it has a built in paper punch so in the end you have a perfect envelope with little fuss. I had so much fun! I can’t wait to get on the next project!
